Through this class I have come to better view the world as I interact with it on a daily basis. I see a difference in the place I am and the place I truly inhabit. The difference between place and space and made a dramatic change in where i put my efforts. I now have begun to focus on putting time into things that with make a place and have a tangible impact on the world in which I exist. Taking time from those meaningless, trivial actions that will lead to only an empty sense of space. The line between the two is very fine, because as Lane explains in the book "sacred can be tred upon without being entered" (Lane 19). Realizing that I can not truly abandon any action based on the idea that it may one day have sacred meaning.
