Joe Conway Landscapes of the Sacred Post #3

In his book, Lane recounts a memory of being ten years old and being perplexed by a makeshift canopy made in a vacant lot across the street. This "giant" makeshift place enthralled Lane and the neighborhood kids due to the time that it had taken to be put up. This made me think about how excited i used to get over things when i was a kid. Little things that wouldn't even make me blink today would somehow bring excitement and wonder out of me back in those days. Something about being young and everything being somewhat new seems to make the smallest things somewhat more exciting.
