Emily McDaniel - Misc. #1

When we watched the movie Cold Fever, I admit I was paying more attention to the awkward attitude of the main character and those around him than really looking for any hidden meaning in anything. After the part with the ‘fairy’ or whatever she was, I started paying too much attention. I thought for sure the old man at the end would turn out to be some twist and turn out to be a fairy himself, but then the movie ended and nothing of the sort had happened. I didn’t like the ending all that much. Sure we know that he got though with the ritual, nothing went wrong, and in short everything was good again by the end. But then it just ended, like it got cut off or something. There wasn’t a whole lot of closure, not even a cheesy shot of his dead parents thanking him or approving it or anything. The way the rest of the movie was going that’s what I could really see happening. So I can’t say if I liked it or not. It was funny enough, that was for sure.
