Robert Lannes: Outside Reading #1

Writing on the topic of the haunted Cavalier hotel in Virginia Beach intrigued me on the topic of haunted places in Virginia, since these places are so close to home.  One place that is located near Newport News is the Crawford Road in Yorktown.  Apparently this location is near an old KKK house, and many lynching of slaves have occurred at this place.  Reports have come in saying that if you turn of your lights while under you can see bodies hanging, and the voices of slaves dying.  Another story suggests that a young black bride hung herself on this bridge in her wedding dress, and has been scene hanging at this location by many people.  Cars that have been stopped under this bridge have been "attacked" by spirits.  Windows fog up, and handprints appear, "bodys" drop onto the car.  There have been many car crashes at this bridge from people avoiding something that was never there.  Aside from supernatural occurrences there, many murders have taken place near this bridge, with bodies being left under it.  The ontological approach could be taken to explain the supernatural occurrences that have taken place here.
