Robert Lannes: Road Trips
One place that I consider sacred would be one of the three different mini vans that my parents have owed throughout my life. As a family, we have gone on many road trips together, some not too far, others over 11 hours. I view the inside of those mini vans as a sacred place for myself because of the experiences I have had in them. In the good times, as my parents woke us up as we were passing a beautiful scenic route, to the bad, when every body just wanted to get where we were going. We experienced it all together, and had lots of good times to go along with it. Many people would disagree with me, because many people hate road trips all together. But this is an example of the third axiom, being that a sacred place can be tred upon, but not entered. Many people have rode in those vans, and never had the connection that me or my family have.
