The third axiom states that one may tread sacred ground, but never enter. This means that walking upon sacred ground serves only half the purpose of its being; one must be open to the power of the sacred place, open in mind and spirit.
In order to truly enter a sacred place, you must be willing to allow its transcendence to enter you. An open mind allows for the revealing of a sacred place's true power. I could walk around the Garden of Eden for an eternity and never truly enter; it is only when you make yourself susceptible to the power of landscape that one may truly enter.
