Landscapes of the Sacred Post #2

Prior to the first exam, I reviewed the four axioms that define a place as sacred.  The text describes a sacred place as being a "storied place".  This is a very interesting concept and explains how a sacred place gets the title of being of sacred.  The first axiom is a sacred place is not choosen, it chooses.  This is my personal favorite axiom because it illustrates how a place can take a hold of you.  A place can spontaneously draw you in and attract you.  A personal example of this was the beach, I was captivated by the beach from the first time I ever went.  The beach appealed to me and I fell in love with the culture and lifestyle.
