Zachary Kuhn: Landscapes of the Sacred #1
The first axiom of sacred space that Lane goes over in his book, "sacred place is not chosen, it chooses.", is one that really caught my attention in the reading. This is interesting to me because many of the sacred places that I have been I have not known that they were considered sacred until after leaving. Although I did not know that they were considered sacred place I still felt as if they were. It was almost as if the place had chosen me, like Lane said. This is also interesting because often times it is not possible to go and find sacred space, one cannot be looking for sacred place, but sacred place will find you, and you will know when it does.
