Jackie Bond- Free topic 3

Sometimes lately I have been asking myself if my bed could be considered a sacred place. I do a lot of thinking in my bed. I have also cried in my bed, laughed in my bed and of course slept in my bed. For me, my bed is a place of refuge. When everything feels as if it is going wrong, I can retreat to my bed and be by myself comfortably. However after further thinking about it, I have come to the conclusion that my bed is not a sacred place technically, although it can be a personal and emotional place, because it lacks many aspects of what makes a place a sacred place. For one, it is not technically a landscape. It is a man made piece of furniture. Secondly, none of Lane's four axioms apply to my bed. It did not choose itself, it can not be tread upon without being entered, it is not both physical and mental, and it is not made sacred by any rituals. For me, my bed is just my personal space where I do alot of thinking.
