Jackie Bond- Lane's Book
My response to Lane's book is generally a positive one. I enjoyed learning about the different approaches, the four axioms, and about liminality and sacred place in general. I enjoyed how Lane combined shorter and more personal pieces and stories into his book along with full-length essays. He explored the different aspects of sacred landscapes and how they become as sacred as they are. I can tell through reading his book that Lane is a very spiritual person who has done quite a lot of research. For him to come up with these ideas, approaches and axioms, he had to have taken into account a lot of research about other cultures and their views on sacred place as well. Overall I think it was a very well written book.
