Liz Cathey: Outside Reading 1

I read I Am Thou by Martin Buber.  It made me realize how we all should be eternally grateful for the fact that God allows us to form relationships with whomever we see fit.  The way I looked at it is that you start off with a large group of friends which is slowly dwindled down to your close friends as you travel through life.  Eventually, we are left with the handful of individuals that are closest to us, and I believe that God was a part of that process.  He brought us closer to the individuals who would bring us closer to him, and therefore strengthening our relationship with him.  It really puts it into perspective for me, that all those who surround me are there for a reason, even when I might not see it.
