Mary Lauren Smith - Image and Pilgrimage in Christian Culture #2
In this book, the word "liminality" was brought about quote frequently. Turner used this to mean one must leave their pervious lives and embark the journey of their own. We use the term "you" to address them based on what we see; human beings are never quote the same and are constantly changing their ways. This is for people we are close with such as family and friends. In other circumstances, we address people as "he/she" because they are not as close as family and friends, more so acquaintances. This is defined as a state of uncontrollable attitudes and feelings.
