Mary Lauren Smith - Image and Pilgrimage in Christian Culture #3

In the book "Image and Pilgrimage in Christian Culture" by Turner, pilgrimage is supposed to be a place of opportunities. Christians worshipped this as if it were a shrine of some sort. All cultures are different, whether Islamic, Buddhist, Hindu, or Christianity. The point of this is that they are all widely different yet are all alike in that they seek the pilgrimages. Each religion brings something different to the table that they can introduce to other religions and cultures. All of these are based on their own people and how they are centralized and fixed to worship. Each religion has its' own liminality, for example, Christianity worships a specific shrine, their God.
