Richard Robertson Other 1

Calm skies

I have always had a love of flying. I feel almost angelic when I am able to look over whole communities as time passes. My favorite moments in flight are as the plane passes  into the clouds. I feel if as my world has entered a liminal state. I become truly unaware of where I am and what direction I am going. As I passed through the pinnacle of this state flying from Paris to Milan. I drift to sleep as we departed, as I woke I gazed out of the window as saw one of the most beautiful sites I have ever had the pleasure of viewing. The aircraft was flying over the the Alps. The snow capped peaks rose under the plane. I felt at total peace, captured by this world of white snow and cloud. The breaking of this pure clam was only broken by the loud speaker of the captain. The voice brought me back from this world that I had entered. It left me hoping, longing for another chance to enter the skies above those mountains.
