The book talks about how there is no answer to how pilgrimages begin in life. Sometimes life takes you places that you never saw yourself going. For example, I had never been someone who liked to hike, my idea of camping was in our motor-home with a bathroom and bed. I then found out that I loved to go day hiking and sometimes even camping in the woods with friends and family. It was never planned to like hiking but the first time I did it I was astounded by the beauty. When I first saw the view from a certain point it took my breath away. I then, at that point, felt like I was at peace and had come full circle. I never expected to go through this, but it was like the land chose me and wanted me to be in complete peace with the world.
