Samantha Rogers- Landscapes of the Sacred #1

One of the things that caught my attention most in this class was the 4 axioms. The one that stood out the most was "sacred place is not chosen, it chooses." I had never really thought about this in such a way. No one gets to choose if a place gets to become sacred, it just happens. The place itself is the one that gets to decide if it is worth becoming sacred. You can just "find" these places and it will become sacred to you. I reflect on this because all of the places that I see as "sacred" were chosen for a specific reason that I did not choose. The places just became so important to me by becoming what they are in my eyes.
