"Sacred place becomes the point at which the wondrous power of the divine could be seen breaking into the world's alleged ordinariness." Sacred places are not ordinary, they are sacred for a reason. Ordinary places cannot be sacred for many reasons; if they are sacred, then there is something special about them that makes them stand out in a special way. For me, this place is a specific place in Avon, North Carolina. When I visit this spot, it doesnt feel "normal" or "ordinary", it makes me feel like there is no other place in the world that I would rather be at that time. This is a divine place to me because there is nothing ordinary about it, just sacred beliefs.
