Samantha Rogers: My Sacred Place

During one class we talked about where our sacred places are. When first asked this question I didn't really know what to say. The first place I thought of was my room because its so comfy and warm. I then realized that being comfy doesnt make a place sacred to you. My search for my sacred place started after that. I realized that a sacred place to me would be in Manassas, Virginia at Old Dominion speedway. Whenever I go to that racetrack I feel a presense. Something that I can't explain but I can feel. Its not like anything that I have ever experienced but its something that touches me everytime I go there. I spent many weekends at that track growing up and it has very sacred meaning to me because I grew up there and saw so many of my friends and family friends. Since then a couple of my Dads friends have passed away, keeping that place sacred because its the place that when I think of my Dads friends, I think of them at Old Dominion Speedway.
