Steven Chung: Natural Setting blog 1

Recently I went to the Nolan trail on two occasions, once on a Friday just to relax and enjoy a natural setting, and the other occasion for one of our class periods.  Both times were very enjoyable and pleasant experiences.  I got to take in the natural scenery and appreciate all the plants, birds, and other life forms.  Even though the Nolan trail is surrounded by a developed society and has man-made attributes, it was still very nice to take a break from buildings, cars, and other components of today's modern world.  Looking at turtles and ducks in the water is extremely calming and a joy to watch.  Listening to the sound of different birds chirp and hearing a woodpecker peck trees is an interesting noise that I don't get to hear everyday.  Watching different birds glide above the water and soar in the air is something that I appreciated as well.  Nature is truly beautiful and taking time to observe and appreciate it is something that I wish I did more often.
