Dan Matarazzo, Image and Pilgrimage 1

One wouldn’t think of college as a spiritual journey, but ideological communitas could be applied to us here at CNU. An ideological communitas is the formulation of remembered attributes of the communitas experience in the form of a utopian blueprint for the reform of society. We as students were seen as having valuable traits from our previous education, and were reformulated to form a utopian society here at CNU. Each student is held equally accountable and given the freedom to choose their own path and responsibilities. From this we will leave with an education and a broader understanding of the world, which we will enact as a blueprint for which we will carry always with us. This blueprint is both universal and local, and will allow us to reform society for the better.
