Richard Robertson Landscapes of the Scared 3

The American Penchant for Mobility of Placelessness

The passage looks into the idea that Americans are constantly changing the space in which they live to find place. I would argue for and against some of the points made in the passage. I would agree that I too am always in a constant search for place or reevaluating what place I am in. In some cases it is necessary to change  space to have a better out let to find space. Even with this constant search for new places, I feel pulled back to previous place I have been a part of. I voice calls me to go back home, college, and my local church. The feeling of place is those spaces never left and is often re kindled. I feel as though people have connections with the people or actions in a space. These connections make the space into place and the reason why we are pulled back to these locations is to re-experience the memories which made that place special to us in the fist place.
