Keely Johnson: Images and Pilgrimage #3
The over-reaching sense of similarity on the a pilgrimage is an interesting topic. Although many of the people you meet along your pilgrimage are from a different culture, you can all share a common goal and sense of accomplishment even if you cannot understand each other. You don't have to be similar to share a common purpose or to enjoy each others company while you trek however many miles you need to that day. Its the same way that children will become friends with anyone at school, regardless of sex, ethnicity, and sometimes even language barriers. The idea is to enjoy yourself and your life while you make this journey to a spiritual awareness. You are meant to share it with the people around you.
