Jem Kamran- Remembered Places

Lane claims that our "attachment to any place arises from what we experiences there and subsequently from what we experienced there and subsequently from what we retain of it in our memories." In my life my Grandparents house is Pakistan is such a place. I spent ten years of my life there but I mostly remember the smells, sensations-the warmth of the place. Whenever the memories of my grandparents come up. I always picture warm glowing days. Even though I haven't been there in nine years I can still picture warm glowing days. When I think about it I can almost feel the hot sunny days, the sunlight tickling my skin, lulling me into a comfy day dream of my childhood. I hear the ringing of my grandma's (meme) scoldings over clamoring of pots and pans, "DON'T RUN IN THE HOUSE", or, "LEAVE THE DOG ALONE." Even if I revisit this sacred place of mine I probably won't be able to reenter in same way i did before. But I will always be able to access it in my head my place of serenity, my fortress of fancy cushions, and crystal decor.
