Mary Lauren Smith - Topic of My Choosing - Music

I decided to write about the music of this generation. We listen to so many different sacred songs in this class that are relaxing and make you feel good. In today's generation, we hear a lot of vulgar, revolting music that is against most people's morals and values. They discriminate against gender and color, and have curse words like no other. This type of music isn't relaxing, or appealing, or even alluring. It doesn't calm one down, relax our bodies, and clear our souls. I see this as a ruin of what music could be, because I believe music can change the world and make it a better place. Jazz, acapella, opera, and country are all genre's of music that revives the mind, body, and soul.
