While doing some research I found a journal that talked about different ways in which nature and religion are connected, and it made me think of sacred space in nature. Man has always gotten resources from nature, and has never been able to thrive without the help of the earth. A part of why sacred space is often natural place and wilderness is because of the relationship that man and nature have. Man would not be able to survive if it were not for nature, and this is turn causes man to feel close to nature. Many people have sacred space that is in nature where they can go and really be at one with themselves. This supports the idea that there is a very close relationship between man and nature and that if it were not for nature the other would not exist.
