Zachary Kuhn: Outside- Trail Journals

While doing some research i came across an entry in Trail Journals that really stuck with me. A man by the name of Patrick Moody mentioned the sacredness of nature, and specifically the nature that makes up the Appalachian Trail. It made me think of how everyone has places that are sacred to them, and the power of these places. Mr. Moody mentioned that he could not think of any better remedy for healing his body and mind then a long hike through the woods. He considers nature and the woods sacred, and this sacred place is all he needs to clear his mind and really get in touch with himself. Many people have places like this and they are all equally powerful. Sacred place can be very powerful and is not restricted by religion, location, culture, etc...
